5 Key Takeaways from IAEE’s Expo! Expo! 2022

Written by: CNTV Marketing

As we kick off a new year, we are carrying the energy and excitement from being part of IAEE’s Expo! Expo! 2022 with us. The trade show community took over Louisville and the Kentucky International Convention Center on December 13-15.

The exhibitions and events industry is constantly evolving to meet challenges and unlock new levels of success. Whether you’re a seasoned event professional or a newcomer, we trust you left Expo Expo with newfound knowledge and empowered to tackle whatever comes next.

As a Strategic Partner, the CNTV team was busy capturing content throughout the week for the Show for Shows. Here are 5 key takeaways from our time in Derby City.

1. Inspiration is Everywhere

The 2022 event was all about fun, learning, challenging yourself, and shifting your mindset.

During the Opening Session, our Co-Founder and President, Carrie Ferenac led an inspiring  interview with former U.S. Women’s Soccer player Lauren Holiday. Lauren shared her incredible story of strength, dedication, and desire to make an impact.

Her spirit inspired all of us and offered a perspective on perseverance and how we can be there for one another as we experience challenges and setbacks in life.

The Opening Session also featured a welcome from IAEE President and CEO, David DuBois, CMP-F, CAE, FASAE, CTA and CEO of Louisville Tourism Cleo Battle as well as honored 271 recent graduates of the CEM Learning Program. Congratulations to all new CEMs!

2. IAEE-TV Means Expo! Expo! Lives On

If you feel the week went by in a flash, you’re not alone! You can still catch all of the highlights and event coverage from the week through daily episodes of IAEE-TV, produced by CNTV and sponsored by Daytona Beach Ocean Center and Visit Pittsburgh in 2022.

In this new era of events, post-event content is imperative for continued connections and community building.

IAEE-TV, produced by CNTV, provided news-style coverage to recap each day to unify all participants at the event. Now, this content is the perfect way to keep the conversation going. And, we can do the same for you!

3. It’s All About Community

We always look forward to seeing old friends and making new connections at Expo! Expo!. From the show floor, educational sessions, and more, you can foster collaboration and share ideas while making meaningful connections.

The networking events were top-notch and included Chapter Receptions and the Opening Reception at the historical Churchill Downs. The CNTV team captured social snippet videos for glimpses into all the excitement and invaluable networking.

With CNTV Headquarters located in Florida, we are active members of the IAEE Southeast Chapter. We encourage you to be active in your local chapter for various engagement opportunities throughout the year.

4. Knowledge is Power

The robust education program meant there was something for everyone, including educational sessions about balancing friendships and business, sales tips we can learn from “The Princess Bride”, and practical on-camera advice.

Participants of Tuesday’s education session with CTNV President and Co-Founder Carrie Ferenac, “Caught on Camera: Delivering the Most Effective Video Message”, left armed with the tools to rock their next on-camera appearance – whether it’s for a testimonial, an important media interview, or for enhancing their personal brand.

5. The Future is Bright

As we celebrated Carrie Ferenac’s year as Chair of the IAEE Board of Directors, it was time to officially welcome Dennis Smith, Vice President of Business Development at Asian American Hotel Owners Association as the 2023 Chair. Congratulations, Dennis!

In case you missed it, he was welcomed talk-show style during “Carrie Ferenac Live!” and discussed his plans for the year ahead at the helm of IAEE.

Thank you to our clients, partners, and industry friends who made the time in Louisville a success and memorable experience. We look forward to staying connected and finding new ways to team up on custom media solutions in the new year.

IAEE’s Expo Expo heads to Dallas, TX on Dec. 3-5, 2023.
